- POSITION PURPOSE:
To support the Regulatory Compliance function in designing, overseeing and monitoring the implementation of applicable regulatory requirements, regulatory compliance framework and annual compliance plan.
B. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Assist in performing gap assessment of existing and new regulations across all relevant regulators which are applicable to the Group’s businesses
- Constantly monitor the progress of remediation action plans and follow up with respective stakeholders for timely and satisfactory closure
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to provide timely solutions for maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements
- Conduct compliance monitoring activities across the Group on a monthly basis
- Escalate all observations of non-compliance to the line manager in a timely manner
- Continuously track regulatory developments, monitor evolving regulatory environment, and support in identifying and implementing necessary changes within the Group’s internal policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the applicable regulations
- Any additional tasks as required by the immediate line of authority
C. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, ideally in compliance, audit, or governance-related functions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly those from the Central Bank of the UAE and other relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., Securities & Commodities Authority, Department of Economy & Tourism).
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the impact of regulatory changes on the business.
- Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to both internal and external stakeholders.
